Why do Georgian grads get jobs?
For many it is because co-operative education gives them the competitive edge in today’s job market and Georgian is one of the best.
The Canadian Automotive Institute is renowned for maintaining a co-op employment rate of over 96 per cent in the automotive industry.
Our students and graduates are in high demand by industry leaders! Over 50% of CAI graduates find full-time employment with one of their co-op employers. Co-op works!
The proof?
We are the third-largest co-op college in Canada - with 99 per cent of our graduates finding jobs upon graduation!
Co-op is a paid work semester related to the student’s field of study and is an integral part of many Georgian diploma and degree programs.
The Centre for Co-operative education and Career Services is here to help.
- To find employment opportunities in your field of study, you can count on the assistance and expertise of our Co-op Consultants.
- They teach you the skills you need to land meaningful co-op jobs and to launch a career once you graduate.
Co-operative education helps you develop your skills through real, relevant work experience in the automotive industry. Co-op is a proven, realistic and practical system of career education. You must complete three paid co-op work terms during the course of your studies. When you graduate, you will have one year of work experience in the auto industry.
“My co-op experience at Georgian College in the Automotive Marketing program has been simply awesome. After working for a major manufacturer through a special event marketing company, I am now pursuing permanent employment in the event marketing field. Having this practical experience has made me confident as I apply for different opportunities. I am certain I am equipped with many of the tools that employers in the automotive industry are looking for.”
